libsyntax-highlight-engine-kat software package provides Perl port of Kates syntax highlighting engine, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsyntax-highlight-engine-kat
libsyntax-highlight-engine-kat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsyntax-highlight-engine-kat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsyntax-highlight-engine-kat*
You will get with libsyntax-highlight-engine-kat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
