libsvm3 software package provides library implementing support vector machines, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsvm3
libsvm3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsvm3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsvm3 *
You will get with libsvm3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
