How to uninstall or remove libsuperlu3 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libsuperlu3 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libsuperlu3 

Uninstall libsuperlu3 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libsuperlu3 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libsuperlu3 
Use Purging libsuperlu3

If you use with purge options to libsuperlu3 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libsuperlu3 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libsuperlu3
