libsofa1-dev software package provides Simulation Open Framework Architecture - development, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsofa1-dev
libsofa1-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsofa1-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsofa1-dev *
You will get with libsofa1-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
