libsofa-c-dev software package provides Algorithms for models in fundamental astronomy (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsofa-c-dev
libsofa-c-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsofa-c-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsofa-c-dev *
You will get with libsofa-c-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
