How to uninstall or remove libsimage20 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libsimage20 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libsimage20

Uninstall libsimage20 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libsimage20 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libsimage20
Use Purging libsimage20

If you use with purge options to libsimage20 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libsimage20

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libsimage20
