libsdl2-ttf-dev software package provides TrueType Font library for Simple DirectMedia Layer 2, development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsdl2-ttf-dev
libsdl2-ttf-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsdl2-ttf-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsdl2-ttf-dev *
You will get with libsdl2-ttf-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
