How to uninstall or remove libsdformat1 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libsdformat1 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libsdformat1

Uninstall libsdformat1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libsdformat1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libsdformat1

Use Purging libsdformat1

If you use with purge options to libsdformat1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libsdformat1

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libsdformat1
