librados-dev software package provides RADOS distributed object store client library (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install librados-dev
librados-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the librados-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep librados-dev *
You will get with librados-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
