libpwquality-common software package provides library for password quality checking and generation (data files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpwquality-common
libpwquality-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpwquality-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpwquality-common *
You will get with libpwquality-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
