libptscotch-dbg software package provides MPI programs and libraries for graph, mesh and hypergraph partitioning, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libptscotch-dbg
libptscotch-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libptscotch-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libptscotch-dbg *
You will get with libptscotch-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
