libpqxx-3.1 software package provides C++ library to connect to PostgreSQL, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpqxx-3.1
libpqxx-3.1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpqxx-3.1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpqxx-3.1 *
You will get with libpqxx-3.1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
