How to uninstall or remove libposix-strptime-perl software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libposix-strptime-perl package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libposix-strptime-perl

Uninstall libposix-strptime-perl including dependent package

If you would like to remove libposix-strptime-perl and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libposix-strptime-perl

Use Purging libposix-strptime-perl

If you use with purge options to libposix-strptime-perl package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libposix-strptime-perl

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libposix-strptime-perl
