How to uninstall or remove libpocoodbc9 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libpocoodbc9 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libpocoodbc9

Uninstall libpocoodbc9 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libpocoodbc9 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libpocoodbc9

Use Purging libpocoodbc9

If you use with purge options to libpocoodbc9 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libpocoodbc9

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libpocoodbc9
