How to uninstall or remove libpocomysql9 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libpocomysql9 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libpocomysql9

Uninstall libpocomysql9 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libpocomysql9 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libpocomysql9

Use Purging libpocomysql9

If you use with purge options to libpocomysql9 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libpocomysql9

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libpocomysql9
