libplatform-hardware-api1-dev software package provides Platform API for system level capabilities (development), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libplatform-hardware-api1-dev
libplatform-hardware-api1-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libplatform-hardware-api1-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libplatform-hardware-api1-dev *
You will get with libplatform-hardware-api1-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
