How to uninstall or remove libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid

Uninstall libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid including dependent package

If you would like to remove libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid

Use Purging libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid

If you use with purge options to libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libpgsql-9.3-asn1oid
