libperlio-eol-perl software package provides PerlIO layer for normalizing line endings, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libperlio-eol-perl
libperlio-eol-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libperlio-eol-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libperlio-eol-perl *
You will get with libperlio-eol-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
