libparse-edid-perl software package provides Extended display identification data (EDID) parser, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libparse-edid-perl
libparse-edid-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libparse-edid-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libparse-edid-perl *
You will get with libparse-edid-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
