libpam-shield software package provides locks out remote attackers trying password guessing, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpam-shield
libpam-shield is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpam-shield package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpam-shield *
You will get with libpam-shield package name, version, architecture and description in a table
