libpam-ldapd software package provides PAM module for using LDAP as an authentication service, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpam-ldapd
libpam-ldapd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpam-ldapd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpam-ldapd *
You will get with libpam-ldapd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
