libpacketdump3-dev software package provides development headers for the libpacketdump library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpacketdump3-dev
libpacketdump3-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpacketdump3-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpacketdump3-dev *
You will get with libpacketdump3-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
