libpackagekit-glib2-16 software package provides Library for accessing PackageKit using GLib, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpackagekit-glib2-16
libpackagekit-glib2-16 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpackagekit-glib2-16 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpackagekit-glib2-16 *
