libotf-trace-dev software package provides Open Trace format support library - compatibility symlink, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libotf-trace-dev
libotf-trace-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libotf-trace-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libotf-trace-dev *
You will get with libotf-trace-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
