libosinfo-bin software package provides Library for managing information about operating systems and hypervisors, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libosinfo-bin
libosinfo-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libosinfo-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libosinfo-bin *
You will get with libosinfo-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
