liboobs-1-dev software package provides GObject based interface to system-tools-backends - dev files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liboobs-1-dev
liboobs-1-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liboobs-1-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liboobs-1-dev *
You will get with liboobs-1-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
