How to uninstall or remove libofetion1 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libofetion1 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libofetion1

Uninstall libofetion1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libofetion1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libofetion1
Use Purging libofetion1

If you use with purge options to libofetion1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libofetion1

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libofetion1
