libmtdev-dev software package provides Multitouch Protocol Translation Library - dev files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmtdev-dev
libmtdev-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmtdev-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmtdev-dev *
You will get with libmtdev-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
