How to uninstall or remove libmodglue1 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libmodglue1 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libmodglue1 

Uninstall libmodglue1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libmodglue1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libmodglue1 
Use Purging libmodglue1

If you use with purge options to libmodglue1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libmodglue1 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libmodglue1
