liblowpan-dev software package provides Include files and examples for writing programming for LoWPAN, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liblowpan-dev
liblowpan-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liblowpan-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liblowpan-dev *
You will get with liblowpan-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
