liblinux-inotify2-perl software package provides scalable directory/file change notification, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liblinux-inotify2-perl
liblinux-inotify2-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liblinux-inotify2-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liblinux-inotify2-perl *
