liblapack3gf software package provides Transitional package for liblapack3, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liblapack3gf
liblapack3gf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liblapack3gf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liblapack3gf *
You will get with liblapack3gf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
