libjpeg-progs software package provides Programs for manipulating JPEG files (dependency package), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjpeg-progs
libjpeg-progs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjpeg-progs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjpeg-progs *
You will get with libjpeg-progs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
