libhud-gtk1-dev software package provides GTK helpers for exporting items to the Unity HUD, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhud-gtk1-dev
libhud-gtk1-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhud-gtk1-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhud-gtk1-dev *
You will get with libhud-gtk1-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
