libhtsengine1 software package provides HMM-based speech synthesis engine API, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhtsengine1
libhtsengine1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhtsengine1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhtsengine1 *
You will get with libhtsengine1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
