libhfsp-dev software package provides Library to access HFS+ formatted volumes, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhfsp-dev
libhfsp-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhfsp-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhfsp-dev *
You will get with libhfsp-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
