libhdf4-0 software package provides Hierarchical Data Format 4 library -- library package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhdf4-0
libhdf4-0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhdf4-0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhdf4-0 *
You will get with libhdf4-0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
