libgtksourceview2.0-common software package provides common files for the GTK+ syntax highlighting widget, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgtksourceview2.0-common
libgtksourceview2.0-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgtksourceview2.0-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgtksourceview2.0-common *
