libgs9-common software package provides interpreter for the PostScript language and for PDF - common files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgs9-common
libgs9-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgs9-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgs9-common *
You will get with libgs9-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
