How to uninstall or remove libgo5 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libgo5 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libgo5

Uninstall libgo5 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libgo5 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgo5
Use Purging libgo5

If you use with purge options to libgo5 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libgo5

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgo5
