How to uninstall or remove libgnatvsn4.8 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libgnatvsn4.8 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libgnatvsn4.8

Uninstall libgnatvsn4.8 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libgnatvsn4.8 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgnatvsn4.8

Use Purging libgnatvsn4.8

If you use with purge options to libgnatvsn4.8 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libgnatvsn4.8

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgnatvsn4.8
