How to uninstall or remove libgmerlin0 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libgmerlin0 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libgmerlin0 

Uninstall libgmerlin0 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libgmerlin0 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgmerlin0 
Use Purging libgmerlin0

If you use with purge options to libgmerlin0 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libgmerlin0 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgmerlin0
