libgloox-dev software package provides C++ jabber/xmpp library (devel), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgloox-dev
libgloox-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgloox-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgloox-dev *
You will get with libgloox-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
