libgirepository1.0-dev software package provides Library for handling GObject introspection data (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgirepository1.0-dev
libgirepository1.0-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgirepository1.0-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgirepository1.0-dev *
You will get with libgirepository1.0-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
