libgimp2.0-dev software package provides Headers and other files for compiling plugins for GIMP, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgimp2.0-dev
libgimp2.0-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgimp2.0-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgimp2.0-dev *
You will get with libgimp2.0-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
