How to Install libgdcm2-dev software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

libgdcm2-dev software package provides Grassroots DICOM development libraries and headers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libgdcm2-dev

libgdcm2-dev is installed in your system.

Make ensure the libgdcm2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgdcm2-dev *

You will get with libgdcm2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
