libftgl2 software package provides library to render text in OpenGL using FreeType, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libftgl2
libftgl2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libftgl2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libftgl2 *
You will get with libftgl2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
