How to uninstall or remove libfixposix0 software package from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libfixposix0 package itself from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libfixposix0

Uninstall libfixposix0 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libfixposix0 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfixposix0

Use Purging libfixposix0

If you use with purge options to libfixposix0 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libfixposix0

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfixposix0
