libfile-share-perl software package provides replacement for File::ShareDir to deal with a development environment, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfile-share-perl
libfile-share-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfile-share-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfile-share-perl *
You will get with libfile-share-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
