libextutils-helpers-perl software package provides various portability utilities for module builders, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libextutils-helpers-perl
libextutils-helpers-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libextutils-helpers-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libextutils-helpers-perl *
You will get with libextutils-helpers-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
